ABOUT JARED
Before a story is told, it is felt. Light shapes that feeling.
I've always been fascinated by the way light influences mood, emotion and atmosphere. It's something I find myself observing constantly, whether on set or in everyday life. A subtle shadow, a reflection, a beam of sunlight cutting through a room — small moments that can completely change how a scene feels.
As a Gaffer and Set Lighting Technician, I enjoy translating those observations into lighting that supports both the story and the cinematographer's vision. While I'm naturally drawn to lighting that feels believable and motivated, I also appreciate the power of shaping reality to create something more emotional, atmospheric or visually striking.
I value calm communication, thoughtful preparation and collaborative environments where people trust each other to do their best work. For me, the most rewarding part of filmmaking is working alongside talented people to create images that stay with an audience long after the credits roll.
